The Good Shepherd Mission

We, the folks who participate in the activities of the Good Shepherd Mission, have as our main purpose, the spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ among men, women and children in the city of Paterson, New Jersey. To facilitate this, our building in Paterson serves as a teaching platform from which the Word of God as it is presented in the Holy Bible is proclaimed. The primary teachers are the Mission's Pastor, and men from various churches within the vicinity of the Mission. The student body is made up of several groups:

• Men who participate in a nine-month "PROGRAM" of Bible study
• Homeless men who use the Mission as a shelter on a night-by-night basis
• Women and children from the neighborhood

The Mission has a husband and wife pastoring family, assisted by graduates of the Program who have chosen to stay on as members of the staff. The Good Shepherd Mission has a Board Of Trustees made up of men from Paterson and the surrounding communities. Each month the Pastor sends a letter to all our supporters in which he describes how God is working through the Mission to bring about His goals and what our current needs are.
